The Purcellville Volunteer Fire Company is always looking for willing volunteers. To learn more about the Company, the volunteer fire service, and to initiate contact with the Membership Committee, please use the form below. A Committee member will contact you by e-mail or telephone to arrange for the next step in the process, usually the completion of a full application and an interview.

If you are ready to fill out the full membership application, please use the attached .pdf version and return it to the Station and leave it for the Membership Committee. You will be contacted as noted above for the next step.

You may also bring your completed application to our General Membership meeting (member meetings are at 7:30pm the first Monday of every month at the Station) where you can learn more about the Company and meet some of its members. No action will be taken on your application, however, until other requirements of the process (covered in the interview) have been satisfied.

Please note we will need your Social Security Number or other SSAN and permission to run a DMV background check. If married or under the age of 18, you must have your spouse or parent sign the full application form.

APPLYING FOR (Check One):
FIREFIGHTER - Any member who, after satisfying the probationary requirements, intends to participate in firefighting duties. SUch members are required to attend at least 50% of all scheduled training sessions and 66% of all general membership meetings. The member may, after one year, hold administrative office if elected or appointed and has full voting privileges.

ASSOCIATE - Any member not desiring or intending to participate in firefighting duties. Such members are required to attend at least 66% of all general membership meeetings. The member may hold administrative office if elected or appointed and has full voting privileges up on release from six-month probationary period.

AUXILIARY - Any member not desiring to participate in firefighting duties. Such members may attend membership meetings but have no voting privileges. The member may not hold administrative office or serve as a committee chairman.
