About Engine and Truck Company 2

The Purcellville Volunteer Fire Company was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1923. Company 2 has protected life, property and environment both in the Town of Purcellville and in surrounding western Loudoun County Virginia communities for over 80 years.

Purcellville Fire provides fire suppression services along with public education to its surrounding communities. Purcellville Fire also provides non-transport basic life support (BLS) care in conjunction with the Purcellville Volunteer Rescue Squad, Company 14 along with other local EMS companies in Loudoun County. On December 30th, 2004 our daily operations were supplemented by career staff from Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Department (LCFR) and they staff our first out piece 6a-6p seven days a week.

Currently, Purcellville Fire operates two Engines, Ladder/Tower unit, Tanker, Brush truck and a Special Emergency Response Vehicle (SERV) in its fleet. Currently we are in the process of creating a new unit to serve the community "in house" that will be known as Jeep2. Check the Apparatus section for some pictures and information on what each unit's role is at the Deuce.
